Hi All
DH and I have decided to start selling new things on ebay. The problem is we are struggling to find wholesalers that sell this product. They must be about somewhere cause there are a few items for sale on ebay.
We have spent a week looking on the net and it is driving me mad now, lol. There are some sites that you have to pay to look at the listed whole salers are these genuine? Anyone have any other ideas that we could try?
Thanks All

I would think most of the websites are genuine, but you ar eunlikely to get any real bargains. Ebay are often cheaper than wholesale.
Ebay sellers tend to source their stock independently, if they are using a drop shipper then it becomes more difficult to sell as if you ca find a drop shipper, then so can everyone else and go into competition with you.
Personally I would avoid drop shipping, it is more trouble than it is worth. Just find yourself a niche market that you can source offline that no one else can find, and you'll do better.
Having said that I know it is horribly difficult, but if it was easy to find goods to sell at a profit, then we would all be doing it. Selling on ebay is the easy bit, finding the stock is the bit that proves difficult.

I wouldnt recommend paying to sign up to any wholesalers directory. Most of the information is available elsewhere if you search for it and even when you are faced with a large list of wholesalers you still have to do the donkey work and get quotes from suppliers etc. The paid for sites are hoping people will pay to sign up in the belief that they will be able to get bargains that they can resell for large profits so paying a fee to access this info must be worth it right?. Many of the wholesalers listed with those sites haven't specifically given approval to be listed...their details have been found from web searches or other directories.0 -
Have you tried Exchange & Mart or Dalton's Weekly?
Also there is a specialist mag for market traders, but I don't remember what it's called.0 -
I can add that there are some free wholesale information sites and have listed a couple below

The only advice I can give is to stay WELL clear of a company called Zentrada. I 'joined' their website and three months later recieved a bill for £67 (not that they got it of course!!)
Only join if you are very serious and are already making money from this.

what sorta stuff do you wanna sell? some people only sell to traders who can real bulk buy, I purchased about £80 worth of stuff once! I got loads of it and aimed for my kids stuff, they both had an item each and sold the rest making my money!!
prob wouldn't do it too quickly again though!!

I would say it depends what you want to sell, I have a business which I mainly run on ebay although I do also have an online shop, I buy direct from the manufacturers but becuse my business is a certain item/s(won't give away secrets;) ) this was easy for me to do and I knew which products I wanted to sell as I had tried and tested them myself ans still do now if I sell something new. I just contacted the manufacturers direct but as I say that may be just the field I'm in!
