MCO Capital loan

Don't hold your breath Geomacl. I e-mailed the OFT well over a week ago asking them to do this and have had no reply, but I think they reserve the right for 20 days in responding. It does seem incredible that the original web-site in slightly modified form is still running and presumably still creating ID fraud applicants. Giving loans electronically on-line isn't secure and may never be.0

Hats off to all those persisting with information collection on MCO and their still running website. :T
Looking like these guys arent going to go away and maybe more people will get dragged into the fraud if the scammers are still able to get easy credit using people's info.0 -
SUCCESS!
Finally something in writing from somebody involved telling me it has been dealt with.
Hopefully that is the last I hear about this.
Furu can, quite frankly, kiss my hairy !!!!.
Dear xxxxxxxxxx(aka Zinor)
I can confirm that Intrum Justitia Ltd were acting on a collection basis only to accept repayment of loans taken out by customers.
The account we have access to has been updated accordingly and you will not receive any communication form Intrum Justitia Ltd in respect to this account.
However, please direct any further concerns you may have to MCO Capital.
I would like to thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards,
Tracey Smith

Hi all,
I have just had a chat with a friend who lives next door and she runs JSCS, which is a company who deal in commercial disputes but she has also had dealing in class action lawsuits.
She has checked the FSA database and told me that MCO are registered but they are acting outside their registration details and as such the FSA should have closed them down.
I have given Jane the details about this company and this forum and she tells me that she will check out what is going on and either register with the forum to let all know her findings or she will let me know and I will pass it on.
Jane is interested in knowing as many people as possible who have had dealings with MCO as she will happily put a case together to put before a court but she needs as we can provide.
If you are interested her web page is wwwdotJSCSdororgdotuk (replace "dot" with . ) and if you want to email her with your details just mention that "Ian" had spoken about her.

Just out of interest. I have had this email from IJ stating that the account has been closed.
Has anyone had any correspondence from MCO/Helploan/Balanceloan et al stating that the loan has been cancelled and that they confirm that it is being treated as a fraud?
I don't remember seeing any posts to that effect.0 -
Hi Jane; nice to see you on the forum. Will get my details to you when I can. There seem to be approx 10,000 people affected by the fraudulent loan letters, many of them here on this forum. Whilst the authorities seem convinced that MCO Capital are the victims of an ID fraud, you will see many posts here which suggest people are unhappy with MCO's conduct and don't understand how they are still running web-sites continuing the problem. People here would like MCO and associated companies closed down, and we have also been discussing compensation from MCO for the menacing letters sent to innocent victims. (Some people have actually repaid a loan they never had according to Shropshire Police reports). Any thoughts or guidance you have on this matter too would be appreciated.0

Jane Sanders (JSCS) here. Ian Braisby is indeed my neighbour. I can see that MCO are regulated by the FSA but various things about their website is non-compliant which can, and often does, carry stiff penalties by the FSA in itself.
I have just been made aware of this issue, and it would definitely appear that more than one 'type' of fraud has been committed. I am not entirely sure how many parties are involved, but an injunction may well be a good plan to stop the bailiffs in their tracks, pending a trial. The question would then be identifying the defendant.
However, the bailiffs are being paid by somebody so it might be interesting to deal with them first, before issuing any letters before claim, or anything else.
I will follow your posts with great interest. I will, of course, be liaising with Ian Braisby, who can also keep you updated.
Chin up everyone.
Jane
Hi Jane
Welcome to our humble forum - your expertise is most welcome. I will try to establish contact via your web site that Ian has provided.
One question in the meantime - can bailiffs act without court authority?
Most of us on this forum are of the same opinion as you - namely, MCO appears to be operating outwith its licence and should have been shut down by now!!!0 -
Congratulations Zinor - that must be a first:beer:.
I'm not sure I would agree with grahamqat's suggestion that you have the letter/email framed. I would pin it to my dartboard and invite all to have a go with as many darts as they wish!!:D0 -
Just had a reply to my e-mail to the Home Office - they say it's not their problem and they're passing it on to the Department of Trade and Industry! So perhaps the guy from Which? didn't give me the best advice after all. Apologies to everyone else who wrote - I hope your letters will be passed on too.0
