That's unrealistic. 3 years is the maximum on offer. Read thoroughly the Notes that came with the P800 and also the 'What Happens Next' leaflet? Fairly well explained in there.Can i help him ask the taxman for a detailed beakdown of the overpayment, we are sure it is to do with having two pensions and an income
You can ..... but the P800 should contain everything you need? Do the income figure tie in to P60(s) / State Pension statement etc. And are his personal allowances (PA) (£9490) correct for his age? The PA I've given assumes his total income is below £22900 ....... it reduces all the way back to £6475 otherwise (by £1 for every £2 his income exceeds £22.9k)
Post the P800 detail if you want someone to check it (a separate thread would be better) ..... and indicate whether you agree the income figures.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
