Selling old-style shared ownership property

Hi,
As the title suggests, I'm currently selling a shared ownership property (we own part, housing association owns other part - they have to approve application by buyer before we can sell). It's looking likely that we will have an approved buyer shortly as apparently the housing association have recieved a number of applications for our house. I'm not really sure about when we should start thinking seriously about moving - we've already started viewing places, but I'm nervous as I don't really know how long I've got to find somewhere - we're likely to hear about the approved buyer in about 3 weeks time.
Has anyone been through this who might be able to share their experience?
Many thanks for reading.
