Phone from Atlanta Problem

I am trying to phone UK from Atlanta using an Orange Mobile Philips Digital 366. I have put in 0044 before text and called putting in 0044 and omitting the first 0 of the uk code.Neither has worked. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    A couple of questions:

    a. Do you have international dialling facilities set up with your service provider? In the UK this service is not automatically enabled and often has to be requested.

    b. Are you sure that the UK number you are dialling is correct?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
  • Number very familiar and used every day.Rang Orange before I left and they checked my phone. They told me just to put in the code.

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

    Try

+44 UK number no leading zero

'+' plus the number is the normal way to dial a country code.

'+' is actually the standard way to represent the international access code where ever you are. For example +976 is the international dialling code for Mongolia, but the '+' is the International access code where you are. So from the UK, the International access code is 00 and you dial 00976 for Mongolia. But in Mexico, the International Access code is 98 so you dial 98976 to make a call from Mexico to Mongolia. The '+' is a bit like the 7th symbol in Stargate.

http://www.milesfaster.co.uk/access-codes.htm give a list of International access codes which the + represents.
