Using Google Mail in the Bat! email client

Hi

I'm trying to download my googlemail emails through the Bat email client (pop3), but i cannot receive/send any emails. POP3 IS enabled on the settings page on gmail webmail and i tried putting in the config settings below into bat but without any success. Has anyone managed to successfully use the Bat! with gmail?

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.googlemail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS: smtp.googlemail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587

Account Name: your Google Mail username (including '@googlemail.com')
Email Address: your full Google Mail email address (username@googlemail.com)
Password: your Google Mail password

Thanks

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.
  • Thanks for that ABH, i can now receive/send emails.
