Buyer Requesting My Details (NPB)

Hi
About 4 months ago I sold an item a fairly cheap item on Ebay for collection only. After several emails backwards and forwards and promises that he would collect the item, this never materialised and I opened a NPB.
I've recently had an email from Ebay to say that this buyer has requested my details which have been passed to him. I've checked and he is no longer a registered Ebay member - his ratings are in the 3s and he has a few negs so unsure whether it is Ebay who have suspended him or he has chosen to no longer be registered (I don't understand the reasons why someone could get suspended).
Does anyone have any idea why he may want my details? I wonder if he is gonna sell me a sob story and hope that I get the NPB strike removed but I guess that's not possible, even if I did want to (which I dont).
Any thoughts welcome.

I agree, he's probably trying to get the strike removed, if he phones you hang up and if he emails ignore him.
There are a lot of users who think it is perfectly OK to mess sellers around and go on to lose their account and then just open a new account and start again. They get a bit of a shock a few months down the line when the new account is linked to the old one and they get suspended again.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for the advice, just wanted to update you with an email I received today, he's having a laaaaaaaaaaaarf, please note that before you read the email it was a lava lamp I was selling:
Hi, please take time to read this email.
Due to non payment on ebay my account has been suspended and will be permanent unless the seller cancels the dispute claim, you can do this even though the case is closed and no fees are charged etc for the auction.
The item number is-
ITEM NUMBER HERE
I understand the Ebay terms of sale and if you bid you have to pay etc..
I am willing to pay you a fee for messing you around and so that i dont loose my Ebay account.
I did not bid with intension of not paying. My son bid on the items as he moved house and needed furniture etc and intended on collecting them but he suffers from servere axiety attacks and has not left the house for the past 2-3month now, hence non collection of the items, i have just got back from vacation and came accross the problem with Ebay.
I totally understand if you do not wish to cooperate but it would be very much appreciated if you could.
Please get in touch if you have any questions, or either way please let me know if your willing to do this so that we can some sort of arrangement.
Thanks,
I'd love to reply (even if it was just to point our the errors with his grammar:D), but I won't

Tell him that you are willing to accept £500 as the fee. :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
theres always a child/animal/ghost/monster that placed a bid rather than the actual ebay user, in this case even a grown up child!0

Ignore, if my son was that poorly I would be more worried about getting proper help for him rather than worrying about my ebay account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. TBH I would not even reply. NPB are a bane to all the sellers, the more that are suspended the better.0

Just reply correcting his bad spelling!0
