Free Organisational Chart Software Needed Please

Hi

I've been asked to do an Organisational Chart for work.
Thought it would be a piece of cake using PowerPoint’s Organisational Chart feature but I got within adding the last two members of staff and a warning dialogue appeared stating that the limited version free with Powerpoint only accommodates charts up to a certain width.

Hardly worth splashing out on commercial software so does anyone know any workarounds please or freeware that they've used which will do the trick.
I've already reduced the font-size to no avail :-(

Have you looked at openoffice, this is free and similar to MS Office.

Wow that must be one huge org chart!

Is there any way you can split it in two?

Or maybe put several names in one box? At the bottom of the chart there might be five staff all reporting to one supervisor.Perhaps they could all go in one box rather than each having a box to themselves?

Not actually a big chart at all, just a liitle too wide as on one of the tiers there are seemingly too many staff at the same level to accomodate width-wise.

Not keen on splitting it as it complicates updating.

Was hoping that I could fit to a page larger than A4 but can't seem to find that option.

Ah I see. I haven't got PP here at home to experiment with, but I think you can go into File, Page Setup, Custom to specify the dimensins of your page.
