Hi i`m looking for a bit of advice please, i`m being made redundant on the 1st of october, i`ve been working between the office and my home since i had my first child 9 years ago(i`ve worked for my employer for over 20 years) and as i dont have anyone to look after my kids when they`re off school (which is alot) i want to become a housewife, i was wondering if anyone can tell me what i`m supposed to do as i`ve never signed on the dole and as my husband is on a decent wage i dont expect any money from them but if i say i wont be looking for a job what will happen with my national insurance ?
Any help with this would be really great, many thanks

It's called JobCentre Plus. You could ring them and ask if you can sign on just in order to get NI credits.0
