which hotel?

My oh and i are flying to new york, second week in oct, and because of babysitting etc, we have decided the easiest way would be to stay at an airport hotel the night before.
We are flying from heathrow, and need 6 days parking included, ideally ease being the most important thing, since i have mobility issues so lugging round cases on hopper buses would not be ideal.
We are flying from term. 4 if that helps...
whats a decent price? is it cheaper to book the hotel and parking seperatly?
thanks

For mobility your best bet is the Hilton at Terminal 4 which is linked to the terminal by a covered walkway. Room only from about £140. Nearly all the other options will involve using the hopper (from hotels) or the bus from whatever car park you use. Unfortunately the hopper does not service terminal 4.
Unfortunately the Hilton is probably the most expensive option. If you are travelling at the weekend you may get a better deal as this hotel is primarily used by business travellers. Here is a link http://www.hilton.co.uk/heathrow
I believe they do combined deals on their website or alternatively you could ring them and see if they will do you a deal. I have looked several times in the past but the price has always put me off. The Hiltons parking is adjacent to the hotel.
The next nearest hotel to Terminal 4 is Jurys. Room only from about £65
Alternatively you sometimes find them on the various parking/hotel agency sites here are some you could try.
www.holidayextras.co.uk
www.aph.co.uk/offers
www.parkbcp.co.uk try code BN221 for parking discount or
http://www.parkbcp.co.uk/email/airport-parking-1.html?agent=WC78E&last_destination=**last_destination** for 10% parking discount
www.fhr-net.co.uk
www.parkandgo.co.uk
www.purpleparking.co.uk try codes TIPO for trade discount or E78W for 20% parking discount
www.superbreak.co.uk and click on their airport parking tab.
For hotel only try
www.activehotels.co.uk
You may also be able to get cash back via www.quidco.com on some of these sites.
Most of these sites offer hotel or parking separately but usually you can get a cheaper deal combined where parking is offered with 8 and 15 day options. Look at the conditions as some hotels offer on-site parking but some you still have to use a separate parking site which the hotel has arranged.
Alternatively you could try getting a £19 a night (book 3 weeks in advance) deal at a nearby travelodge and then using a separate parking company via the agents above. I would recommend looking at Parking Express as a convenient airport east perimeter parking area with a separate bus servicing terminal 4.
Hope this helps.0
