I read that too, Sainsburys have no plan for a sale this year but they will apparently let us know if they plan one. It's on their chat web page.

Just a word of warning, Sainsbury's really hike thier prices of the toys and so make sure you can't get your item cheaper, even in the half price sale. I have just found a Thomas item for £36 on Sainsburys but £9.99 elsewhere, it could be a mistake but I do remember last year people mentioning price hikes!

    Many thanks
  • This thread was actually the reason why I joined this site.

I remember taking my kids to school last year so I don't think it was in the holidays, unless they are different times around the country. I was late last year and managed to get bargains, but not as many as I liked.

Thanks everyone! After completing my first course I'm back into comping in a big way. I missed the fun!
  • ive got quite a lot of bargains in the 3 for 2 argos sale. my boys are mad army fans - looking for some figures (got the argos ones already). apart from waiting to see if sainsburys have their sale - does anyone know the cheapest place to get them? i'm looking for desert army ones.

agree about sainsbury prices hiked up - for instance - the tank i got in argos was £39.99 - its £49.99 in sainsburys, so you really do have to weigh up the different options to see which works out cheapest for you.
