what would you do to stick it down?

Options
say you needed to stick some paper onto another bit of paper and had to give the two bits to someone else. you don't have any form of tape (sticky, packaging, medical or electrical), no glue, no flour, no paste. what would you use?

  • Blu-tak? Chewing gum (unused!)? Piece of a Rizla paper? Old stamp? I suppose it depends how important presentation is.

You could always bend a piece of wire like a staple. Assuming you don't have a stapler.
Eek! Someone's stolen my signature!

    Hi homersimpson,

As this thread is not strictly Old Style, I'll move it over to the I wanna board where hopefully you'll get more help.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Fold the top corner over several times
Punch a hole with a pencil then stick a laggy band through it
As above but use a nut and bolt (high-tech solution)
A drop of Guiness between the papers (works on carpets and floors)
    Nail varnish
Nick the end off the rubber plant
  • Egg white, used it in the old days when we'd steamed a stamp, that hadn't been franked, off a letter and used the egg white left in the shell to stick it on again.

Do you like them ? If not Earwax.
You can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.

You could sew them together. Or you could use resin if you have a resinous tree nearby.

The initial concept that I have no glue and no flour is highly unlikely though. I have glue sticks, contact adhesive (generic Evostick), clear glue (generic UHU), Copydex and epoxy adhesive (generic Araldite). Plus flour. I like making things (including cake).
