Mortgage Protection - Help!

My husband and I are existing owners, but we need to find some Mortgage Protection Cover (or something similar).
We were told when we moved that we wouldn't be able to get any as my husband has Crohns. However, we're beginning to stress over having no insurance and are being wholly unsuccessful at putting money into a savings account, as, because we can get at it, it's too tempting to chip away at to pay unexpected bills etc.
Are there any specialist firms that provide ASU cover for those with existing conditions?
