Seeds from the fruit rather the packet
Hi Everyone,
I have some tomatoes which are looking a bit poorly and hubby won't eat them so I thought I would take out the seeds and save them for next year. Will this work and do I just dry them and then store them in an envelope in the draw. Can I do this with other things to like peppers? This will also save me pennies in the long run.
Thank you

Hello
you can indeed save seeds but some things need to be handled more carefully than others. If you have grown peppers and chillies, they can cross pollinate so that when you save the seed it can be a strange variety when you grow them next year. e.g. chillies that are not hot etc....

Thanks for that site Robert. I have some lovely cherry tomatoes I am eating atm so I'll sacrifice a couple for a crop next year.
Thanks again
