We have been month already but no valuation?
No one seems to knew when they do this.0 -
Yeah speaking to other people this appears to be the norm, they really drag their heels, maybe they don't make enough money from mortgages as they do with other things so they don't care.
I was just a bit worried because when researching this on the forum here i come across another post where someone said they done it all in six weeks. Guess that is rare.We have been month already but no valuation?

Actually, the trouble with "this site" is that too many people react negatively when they dont like the answers they are given.
i.e. someone feeling they have been "ripped off" or similar only to find most dont agree with them or, where they have an incorrect assumption about where the lender makes it money or where it doesnt make it and they are corrected. They then turn against those who dont agree with their misplaced views.140k mortgage with a possible return of 70k profit over 25 years IF you stick with them
The net interest margin is typically around 1% historically. Sometimes more, sometimes less. The level of "profit" you think there is; is that gross, or net? is that looking at the profit in isolation or including the costs of funding the amount lent in the first place?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The reality is that the OP has provided half a story in most posts and then starts trying to lecture on where building societies make profits, telling me it's not got much to do with mortgages and it's all down to investments.
Depsite repeated requests, the OP took ages to clarify who was handling his mortgage application (broker or lender) or what steps had been taken.
With some posters it's like knitting fog.
Before the OP walked off with the bat, I think I answered the questions that were raised.
But hey, I'm the naive fool.
Oddly, the broker hassling the lender will get things moving faster. Or at least get absolute understanding as to why things are moving slowly. The broker can only go as far as the mortgage provider, Its not going to make the mortgage provider go any faster, they go their own pace.0
