Can my partner get her share of the house back?

Hi.
First time on here so bear with me.
My partner split from her ex last year and they had a mortgage together.
To get out quickly, she moved out and accepted a reasonably small fee instead of going halves on the house.

Is there any way she can now get half the house back, as she regrets her actions at the time?
The mortgage at the time was paid for through a joint account.
Many thanx in advance

she accepted a full and final settlement, so of course she cant claim anything.
also, if it wasnt a legal agreement isnt there a 6 month window for these cases?

Will she give him the money back and reimburse her ex half of the mortgage payments for the period?

If the fee she accepted as legally binding I cant see how she could.

Also are there any children at her ex's house?

Maybe you will be entitled to do something legally, you would have to ask a solicitor . But morally .

Beware monkey I smell a pan of bunnies on the boil.
  • It's ok DKLS it's not my blood she's after!!
  • If she signed over her half share and the property is now in his sole name then its a bit late - it would be hugely expensive to upset this now, even if it was possible.

If property is still in joint names then one day he will want to sell or remortgage and her signature will be needed then and she might be able to to do some deal at that point.

Just keep it in mind if you buy property with her, cover your own back at all times.
