I used the code yesterday and managed to get a weekend away for us all next weekend. However, when I received the confirmation email today, Haven want another £63 for passess and power. Not soooo much of a good deal as I first thought (but I'm still happy!). Has anyone been to Haven before and do they check your passess? (they didn't at Pontins at all!). What do the passess cover and do you recommend getting them? Any advice is greatly appreciated because I am a Haven virgin:eek:0

Hi all,
Can you tell me if you have to buy the passes or can you just have the caravan without the passes for the stay as we tend to use the caravan just as a base you see and go offsite alot.

HI,
I have been on sun holidays with Haven for the past six years and it varies from site to site whether they will check your passes or not, you are supposed to have them if you are using the swimming pool or club house. If your are not using the facilites don't pay for them.
The power charge is compulsory, we also take our own bed linen to save a bit of money.
We have had some brilliant sites and really nice caravans and some really bad, we complained about the last one in Wales (Greenacres), the caraven was really filthy, your feet stuck to the floor, Haven gave us a £50 refund but not to be used with any other offer, so a bit useless when we use the Sun holidays.0 -

Oh dear - we're going to Greenacres, and I suppose cos we got Sun holidays the caravans will be the low budget ones. Do they check passes there do you know? Good idea about taking your own bedding (I'm always a bit sceptical about using other peoples anyway!)0 -
Hi Dotty13
Yes, they did check the passes, and we paid for an upgraded caravan so I hope you have better luck.0
