The OP clearly does NOT know this person - but if you follow the links, you will find that the OP has a 'About me' page on Ebay, where she says that she's disabled. So 'junglejimmy777' did it with prior knowledge! :mad:

i neve read about me pages, and !!!!!! is used as a general insult. If i was low enough to use it on ebay i would have no idea the person was disabled

I hope the board guides don't edit your post to delete the user ID.

I for one am pleased you let us know about this and have blocked that person. I would not like to deal with a person like that.

I hope others get the chance to block the ID too.

I am having a problem with an ebay seller at the moment too and they keep changing their user names. Does the block still stand in those scenarios?

Some people do use that as a general insult yes, but it takes on a much more hurtful meaning when you actually are disabled yourself.
Regardless of who uses it and how, it is a derogatory comment designed to hurt others and should not be used.

You would not use a racist term and then say' oh, its a general insult' would you?

Thanks to all of you who responded. I know its probably against the rules to post the guys id here but he's such a lowlife I really felt other people ought to be warned.
I thought his account looked dodgy too. Some strange id's and all no longer on eBay.

As hard as it is, ignore him. When given comments from others, think about if you respect their opinions. If you do, then pay attention to what they are saying and improve where you can. If you have no respect for them, forget their mutterings instantly. Don't let them upset you, else they have won and you are down.
