My car was stolen 3 weeks ago, the insurance has called today to let me the claim has been validated and will recieve all call in a few days to arrange a settlement figure.
I know that my excess will be deducted from this but will they also take what is left to run on the policy? I will be replacing the car straight away so will they let the cover run for the new car?
Thanks for any help I get!! :j

It depends on the company - best to ring them and ask.
You will be able to cover the new car on the policy yes, though you might have to pay additional premium depending on the car0 -
If the car is a full loss, you normaly have to start a new one and pay the full years premium.0

Yes its a total loss as not been recovered. thanks for that just trying to work out how much I'll get (not a lot!)0

Depends on the policy wording, some end on a total loss payout, some don't0

save your phone bill, even if you do get through you could only have a 50/50 chance of getting the correct answer.
read the policy0 -
Just thought I would update as I've had the answer to my question!
I am able to let the current policy run so dont have to pay in full and have it taken from my settlement. Also I have read on here about peeps getting unfair settlements for their cars. I only bought my car in Feb and it cost £2220 and this is what they have settled at so you cant ask fairer than that!:j0
