Blackpool

Hi, I am going to Blackpool for a few days at the end of September. Does anyone have any voucher codes or locations for vouchers for Blackpool tower, Blackpool Zoo and the pleasure beach.

Does anyone know if you can still just walk around the pleasure beach for free or do you have to pay to go in?

Any other ideas for places to go or nice places to eat with a 2 year old are much welcomed.

Staying at Haven Marton mere, anyone been, any reviews or useful tips?

Thank you for your help

  • Google the voucher codes that you're after. I.e. 'blackpool pleasure beach voucher/discount codes'.

I didn't think the pleasure beach was ever free to walk in to. You can get a wristband which doesn't allow you on the rides but just to walk about. It's £5 if you buy it online.

I don't think you'll have a problem finding places to eat. It's full of eateries.
There's a great chippy right next to the pleasure beach (I think it's called Paolo or Pablos)
Pretty reasonably priced, and a good fish and chips with mushy peas. It's what the seaside is all about.

    Have fun

It was always free when I was a kid and my children were kids. You only paid to get on the rides. You could either buy a book of A rides, B rides, C rides or a book with a mixture.

Grandparents and parents didn't have to pay anything just to wander in the park if they didn't want to go on anything.

The new idea of paying just to accompany children is taken from the theme parks which have sprung up.

It was free until only a couple of years ago...I hate big rides but used to love going round with friends, having a drink or ice cream, just enjoying the atmosphere. I won't go now and it's a real shame

We usually buy tickets for the tower and the Pleasure beach from the tourist information and they are always discounted.
Sealife centre: http://www.visitblackpoolshop.co.uk/blackpool_sea_life_centre_tickets.html but there are loads of vouchers about at the moment for deals, the type that have Legoland etc on them for BOGOF.

  • Hi there.. If you use the tram (not sure about the bus) while ur here theres a voucher on the back kids go free into the sealife centre :)

The No.20 sightseeing bus goes direct from the camp to all the major attractions - tower, piers and pleasure beach etc etc!

An yeah its £5 into the pleasure beach, or the normal wristband price (which is cheaper when booked online)

Have fun when u come up here! :)

Ps.. if its open you should try Notriannis ice cream! It's lovely
  • Just a bit of a warning that there will be some construction work going on in the park especially in the kiddies Beaver Creek area. They are removing the Magic Mountain ride and several of the small children rides (gradually) in order to build the new Nickelodean Land attraction.

A Pleasure Beach Pass costs £5 per person and entitles you to enter the park, ride on the Pleasure Beach Express, go in the Chinese Puzzle Maze, the South Beach Show and the Dancing Water Show.
