Dear DH and I have been trying literally ALL DAY to work out how to fit the metal work of a 500cm tall larder unit with pull out metal baskets. The bit we are having problems with (and you'll know which bit I mean if you've ever fitted one) is the metal rails with wheels on, which fit into the bracket that goes on the door. However we fit the braket/hinge which holds these brackets (which slide inside the frame on the door), when we come to close the door, the hinge end of the rails moves away from the door..
I've even been into our local Homebase and taken piccies and video of their display piece, but can't dupilcate it on ours, without getting this movement.
HELP PLEASE!!!

Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

did you not get installation instructions when you purchased the larder unit? its always going to be hard posting a question like this due to the vast amount of kitchen larder units. perhaps if you look in your local paper for a handyman, or even ask at the store if they could send a kitchen fitter round.
Most stores usually supply fitting instructions if you could post more details

Oh yes, there are instructions, but niether of us can make head nor tail of them (OH is an engineer by trade, and what he can't work out, I can usually get my head around, as my Dad was an active DIY'er and I was his 'cheif assistant' as a kid) - assembling the unit to the instructions gives the results I describe - the frame lifting away from the door as it is closed......Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Aparently, this movement is 'normal' - although the technical dept at the company who made the metal work didn't think so........Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
