  • If someone thinks less of you because you`re having problems, they`re not worth knowing and very, very shallow. I wouldn`t worry, its at times like this that you find out who your friends are, just like I have, and there are plenty of friends on here :):)

Unfortunately most franked mail have logos or banners with the company name.

Obviously there is a data protection risk here. If the mail man was to say something, he could get into a lot of trouble. But proving it was him is difficult.

I wouldn't worry about it. Even if he does know what it means, it doesn't mean anything. He can't spread your personal information to everyone.

The information (name, dob, address date of br/iva) is freely in the public domain so the mail man is free to spread it as much he wants as long as he got the information elsewhere (if he was bothered he would look it up for the full details anyway).

I very much doubt he would even notice, round here they struggle to complete the round in the time they get, never mind bothering with what is franked on the mail.

You can pop your name here to see if your details are up yet.

I know that anyone can find out by looking it up thanks, I have researched br very well before hand so am aware of where my details are avalible.
I dont think many people go and look things like that up on line with out a reason though. Its not quite the same as having it stamped all over the front of a envolope.
If you live in a place where everyone knows everyone else people do talk im afraid.
I agree that its sad that people talk about other peoples bussiness but its a fact in a small village.
It just does not seem right that as br is not a criminal offence it allowed to be published.

Ill just have to put up with it I suppose, a small price to pay for starting to get my lifeback.
    Thanks for the replys:)
