Hi guys. Looking for some advice regarding my current cash situation.
I am off to Loughborough University to study BSc Economics, so don't need any of my money for atleast 3 years. Although I am keeping a few thousand in cash just in case. Here is what I currently have:
Cash Isa: £3629.34 (remaining allowance for this year, £5100)
Natwest E savings: £6400
Halifax current account: £600
Investment Isa: Taylor Wimpey: £7,768.26, LLOY: £632.35
Cash balance: £3622.09 (remaining allowance this year, £1500)
Market master: Taylor Wimpey: £4831.51, Barclays: £3027.79, LLOY: £573.36, RIO: £105.20, XTA: £1015.68
I have been thinking about buying some more shares in financials (Av., LLOY, RBS) and miners (XTA, KAZ) also been contemplating a long term punt on BP. Furthermore, I have been thinking about investing in emerging markets and grain futures. Obviously I am heavily invested in Taylor Wimpey, I want to lessen my investment here but this is a stock on the way up at the moment. I was thinking about using the rest of my cash ISA allowance for this year also.
