Car Insurance Renewal. Probably moving house in 2 months.

My car insurance is due for renewal and we're probably moving house in 2 months time.

I searched around and tescos gave me a cheap quote of £480. The address we'll be moving to is £357 with them.

I called tescos up and they said I may get a refund when I inform them of the address change (although there will be a fee of up to £26).

Just wondering if there is a better way of approaching this, knowing that i'll be moving soon. Short term insurance, pay monthly ...?

Thanks.

Go short term you loose a few months of building up NCD, also short term is very expensive - it is aimed at those who need cover for a few days.

If tesco are cheapest now and still cheap for your new address, prob not a bad deal, just budget for the admin fee too.

There is no guarantee that their rate for the new address will be the same in a few months though - but you can always shop arround for the new address at that time and pay the cancelation fee and get a partial refund (check what tesco's cancelation fee and refund scale are).
