hi, we went as a family to Menorca this year went the end of July for 2 weeks, there was 6 & 1 infant and booked all the bits ourself trouhgh thompsons we paid £1150, but we only booked 3 days before we went, it was expensive once there but generally think it's dear everywhere now. It is very quiet in menorca, we stayed in cala n porter,my older kids found it quite boring but it is ideal for younger kids, with the short flight and you dont need a car, we used the local buses.
  • Personally I would say if you are travelling with small children and going away for the first time, I would suggest going on a package tour. Mark Warner Lakitira or Corsica/Sunsail Vounaki (you can walk to the shops here).

They will deliver you from the airport to the door of the hotel, many have apartment options (without the catering!) and there are other children, and options for them to go off and play while you have a rest for a couple of hours a day if you desire it. They have sterilising equipment, children suppers, all the equipment you need for little ones.

This really does take the pain out of travelling with little ones.

I think Menorca is fantastic for littlies (though I've only been pre-children!). I can't specifically remember Cala Blanes, we were in Cala Blanca. My one bit of advice to you though is to insist on ground-floor accommodation, I'm guessing your 1yo (2yo next year) will still be in a buggy and you really don't want to be lugging those up and downstairs too often!
