New Driver, Just Passed Test! Now Need Car Insurance

Hi,
I just passed my test yesterday :j
Now I'm looking for car insurance, I've gone on all the comparison websites and additional insurance places which arn't included on the websites. Ecar Insurance has turned out to be the cheapest
I previously had insurance on my own car as a learner driver, but now I've passed and have a full uk lisence, its no longer valid
anyway my question is..
Do I have to await for my full UK lisence to come through before taking out a car insurance policy? The counterpart, and card have been sent away and I've been told I may have to wait upto 10 weeks!

No you are just waiting for the physical documents, you have the licence.0

Ecar only give you 23 days to provide them copies of both parts of your licence. Failure results in the cancellation of your policy plus a £75 charge!0

Don't they accept a pass certificate?0

You would need to discuss this with them before buying a policy - and get their answer in writing before buying!0

It's ok, decided not to go with Ecar found an even cheaper quote; after entering details online I got several phone calls, and turns out APlan were offering me a cheaper deal
