What to do with Thai airmiles (Star Alliance)

I've got 32k airmiles with Thai Airways (and my other half has too), but it's unlikely we will be flying to Thailand in the foreseeable future - any suggestion on what we can do with them - hate to see them wasted.

Shouldn't you be able to redeem them on other *A carriers (e.g. BMI, Lufthansa, SAS)?0
