dont know if this is the right place from the rear of my house we used to have a lovely view of farm fields right down to the thame but my new neighbour has just built a shed no problem with that i hear you say but it is at least 12ft high and 12ft long and now obscures our view across the open rear aspect a point which sold us the house and which we hoped would help to sell it in the future what can i do regards this structure i have no problem with a shed in the same position but this is too big for a 60ft garden is this allowed by law or are there any regulations governing this

Ring your local planning office for advise. The shed sounds very large at 12ft highI like to live in cloud cuckoo land :hello:0

I think if its larger than 10 cubic meters it requires planning permission."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Whilst it might need planning permission and you may be asked for your opinion there is no law that gives anyone a right to a view, sounds very inconsiderate of the neighbour did they not even mention it to you?0

flat roofs max 3 ms.pitched roofs 4ms.there is a limit as to how near a fence also how near to house ithink 5ms.Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

Sheds and greenhouses do not require planning permission as long as they fit within these limits
1 They do not take up more than half of the garden
2 They do not exceed 15sqm in size
3 They are not higher than 3m for flat roof
4 They are not higher that 4m for ridged roof
5 No part of it projects closer to the main highway than the house
6 Is not within 1 metre of the boundary
7 If combustible material is not less than 2 metres from the house
These rules apply for England and Wales only, and further restrictions may be in place if you are within a conservation area, or national park.I had a plan..........its here somewhere.0
