for a two bed house with one bathroom you dont even require a 30kw boiler.

Thats fine if the OP only has showers, but running a bath in mid winter with a 24Kw combi will be very stressful.

It always amazes me how someone can advise what size boiler would be be needed and about how much it would cost to install a new boiler without knowing the customers requirements or the work involved at that particular location, they must be psychic.:D

Combi's are always sized for hot water use. Not heating. Anyone who doesn't realise that either has no experience or simply hasn't a clue what he/she is talking about.

Ormus has hit the nail on the head with his last post.

Well this we never has a problem filling our bath with our combi boiler, maybe because we had the correct advice from someone that knew what was required when it was supplied.

Thank you. The figure you quote is much less than I had expected. I will have a word with the installer tomorrow.

I do have 2 baths a week. The rest of time showers. When my son comes over he has the longest showers ever.

Thanks for all the replies and comments.
Am I to summarise that for a 2 bed, 1 bathroom bungalow with 6 radiators, mainly having showers but 2 baths per week that the 30kw would be adequate and the 35kw would be overkill?
    or
should I just get the 35kw for the extra constant hot water?
