Arthurs Onwards and Upwards Diary

After much lurking i have decided to start my own diary.
Have included all my debts (bar the mortgage and car loans) which i hope to clear.
The main reason i can look at clearing some of the debt is i am now working after being a sahm for the last 2.6 years with my 3rd little un.
Most of the debt was accrued when my other half mortgage buisness went pear shaped a couple of years ago due to the great cc!! We have been moving them about on 0% or paying minimum whilst i have been out of work.
So in a nutshell that's about it.

My barclay and both halifax are on 0 % until next year and my o/d is charged at a pound a day. So am thinking of tackling the priority as that is at 16.9% and virgin 13.9%.
I have opened another account which i hope to transfer day to day spends into and am just waiting for pin number for that to come through. And i am thinking of just reducing the o/d by whatever we can save in the bills acct .LBM Aug 10  [STRIKE]15,995.86 [/STRIKE]:eek:12,750.49

Good luck with your LBM travel , i just keep looking at how much we spend servicing debt and would love to put that away towards a holiday to see Mickey with the kids. Nice to have a goal i guess.
However they will have to make do with the park today !! Last day of school hols here and whilst that means back to work for me i am looking forward to Monday.LBM Aug 10  [STRIKE]15,995.86 [/STRIKE]:eek:12,750.49

Good news is just checked the bank and all bills are paid (except c tax) so once my new pin arrives i can transfer the rest over to my spends account. Will try to leave a bit extra in to lower the o/d at end of month.
The problem being we seem to have a lot of spends so will be good to see how we go budgeting for them.
Need to get some milk etc today so not going to be nsd but hope to keep it low. However we need to get new insurance for oh car today so will prob have deposit to pay for that as we pay monthly. Another good reason to get debt free so we can have money to pay for the year in one go.
Have a good day all , kids wanting feeding again !!!LBM Aug 10  [STRIKE]15,995.86 [/STRIKE]:eek:12,750.49

Well not too great on the low spend front
.
Ended up spending 40 at Lidl, but have got lunches for next week and fridge stocked too (also got a couple bottles of wine for the weekend
) and then another 27 at focus getting a tin of paint a roller and a lamp for ds bedroom. Oh dear but have spent all afternoon decorating the hallyway and hopefully ds will sleep a bit better now! He has been scared of the dark since his old lamp broke. It was reduced and is some snazzy LED football one.
Am going to spend the weekend sorting some stuff to ebay to list Sunday night and try and put that towards the Priority card too.
Other than that may have a run out to the sea side if the weather keeps up.
Hi to all the lurkers i actually did my signature a month ago and it took me until now to be brave enough to post it !LBM Aug 10  [STRIKE]15,995.86 [/STRIKE]:eek:12,750.49

OH just rung asking if we wanted to go for pizza as kids eat free , pretty good deal when you have 3 of em i guess. But said no as i have pizza , salad and vino in so may as well save the cash.
Would have been nice though as ds and dd1 are really grating my nerves with the constant bickering.
Hopefully they will go and play out now their friends are home from school.....LBM Aug 10  [STRIKE]15,995.86 [/STRIKE]:eek:12,750.49

Good evening all.
Have had a really productive day today :j. OH got his car insurance through quidco so fifty pound from them and we got a low deposit so not to big a dent in the budget. Rang sky to see if they could do a deal as bt have offered us free evening and weekend calls. They offered us to keep everything we have , sky , broadband and calls for half price for 6 mths :T. Have also found cheaper gas / elec provider so changed them and got another 50 quid through quidco
.
Other than 60p to buy dd1 a packet of crisps after her swimming lesson it has been a nsd too!!!
I also got my pin through for new spends act so transferred money over just need to change pin for something more memorable.
Spends looking pretty thin for the next two weeks so have to watch them.
Thankfully kids back to school next week but that means back to football , dancing etc which eats a massive part of my budget but i feel too guilty to cut back on. On a plus point dd1 nearly swimming now so can knock that on the head well until dd2 starts
.
All in all a good money saving day and hopefully all thos savings will bring the overdraft down.
Onwards to the ebay sorting now , think that may wait until tom can hear a glass of vino calling my name  !!!!LBM Aug 10  [STRIKE]15,995.86 [/STRIKE]:eek:12,750.49
