Online access still open after account closed.

Hello,
I have noticed with a few online banks that they leave the online access open, even when you have closed your accounts.
I find to still be able to log-in even when you account is closed worrying.
I find also that when you try calling the Bank to close the online access: that they don't close it, and I find I can still login.

Another problem is if I open another account with that bank in the future, I find that that problems arise because you are on their system and it confuses the application and problem arise.

Do you not worry about still being able to access your accounts or do you mange to close them easy?

If the account is closed then surely there is no money in there and no need to worry.

Accounts and web teams will have different departments, i'm sure if you contacted the web help desk or support they would close it for you.

Having online access to closed account information for a time can be useful for printing statements. I found it inconvenient when I closed one account and with a bank (keeping others) and the closed account immediately disappeared from view.

I can see that by having online access for a time is handy, but when you have closed the account a couple of years ago and you still have access, it seem unnecessary. If you can login to an account that's closed it will still have your details there. If you don't access it anymore because you have no need to-then your detail could be used fraudulently without your knowledge.
