Parking ticket advice please

Hi,
My partner received a parking ticket today from UKPC for over staying in McDonalds car park for 45 minutes (he was having a catch up with his boss) The letter states "Your vehicle was recorded parking on our client's private property..." gives times and date. Also says photographic evidence is available if necessary.
I understand my partner was wrong in overstaying his time (we didn't actually know there was any time limit in this car park - never noticed a sign) but after searching UKPC in this forum I read the masses of related pages and wondered if we should pay or not?
Thanks in advance.

Its an unenforceable parking invoice, you are safe to completely ignore the ticket, and any bogus debt collectors ones you will likely get, there is no loss as he was in the business using their facilities. And if he wasn't its still can be ignored.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
'wondered if we should pay or not?'
Not.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
