Do I need to worry about my credit rating?

Hi there,
I have been the victim of identify theft in the last few mths with someone setting up fake direct debits in my name and also making an application to loanfinder uk for a loan. Anyways it seems to have stopped now and my bank account has been closed.
My question is, as I think its unlikely that I will ever need credit such as a loan etc (other than the credit card that I already use and pay off in full each mth) Do I need to worry much about my credit rating or missinforamtion on it.?
thanks for any replies.

The direct debits won't show up **. The application for a loan will but if it is just the one it won't make any significant difference. If you are worried ask for a copy of all the details the credit rating agencies have. It only costs £2 now.

** EDIT: I should have said DDs will show up and impact your rating if it was for a debt related product (eg credit card) and they were not paid leaving the account in the red. But I don't think that applies in your case.0
