Toluna

Hi, I am new on here and not entirely sure if this is the right place to be posting this (not had the chance to browse through all the different threads and sections) so please move if it needs to be!
I was just wondering if anyone uses/used Toluna, the points earning website for polls, opinions and surveys. I am finding the site quite easy to use and plenty of opportunities to earn the points (a first in my experience!) But on the rewards page, where you convert, the vouchers (HMV and Amazon are what I am hoping to earn!!!) they are all for 60,000 -80,000 points. I reckon if I go on there like I have tonight, for an hour, every night, then it will take 20-30 nights to be able to exchange my points for a voucher. BUT it doesn't actually mention just how much the voucher(s) are worth in exchange for these points, and how much you have to put in. So I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me?
Let's say I can't get on every day, but did every other day instead, it would take 2 months of quite substantial filling in of forms, I don't want to be "rewarded" with a £1 voucher for that! So would rather know now! But, if they were to offer me a £10 voucher I would be more than happy with that and probably make the effort to get on there as often as possible as I am hoping to save up the points and vouchers to use at Christmas!
So if you do know anything about Toluna, please share!
Or if you know of a different site that you think is better, then I would love to know about that too.
Again, any help much appreciated, and if I've stuck this in the wrong place then please correct me!
Thanks, Suzanne.

I have been a member for a while and have earned about £100 of Amazon vouchers so far. It does take quite a while to earn them though, especially as I often find that I get screened out of the surveys. I don't think I have ever managed to get enough points for a voucher in a month, although I suppose it might be possible for a newbie if there are introductory surveys.
Bear in mind that they take AGES to send out vouchers. They have always sent it eventually, but I have often had to wait a couple of months for it to arrive.0 -
Thank you! I did think they might take a while. I might start with the intention of saving all the points up for NEXT christmas then!
And ask to convert them in September. Every little helps though!
I did get shunted off a few surveys last night but just as I was going to log off one came through and it was the full survey. Did take a while and I have no idea how much it was worth but it said my points for taking this survey will be added as soon as possible please allow X days (can't remember!)
Thanks again!0 -
Hello,
Ive been a member on toluna for about a year now and still enjoying it there. Ive always done hmv vouchers, but think ill soon start asking for other places. But everytime its taking me about 2 months to get £15 worth of vouchers and most of the time on toluna, they surveys are fun and easy to do. So would defo recommend them0 -
Hiya
I've been a member for about a year now and got £45 of debenhams vouchers, but I hardly ever do the surveys just the quick polls. if I did the surveys I'm sure they would rack up pretty quickly but I don't mind for about 10 mins a night! Each voucher is worth about £15.
HTH xxPay off as much as you can in 2011: £780/£8000Vouchers through surveys/shopandscan: £10/£250Ebay/Paypal target for 2011: £109/£10000 -
yes, I've been a member for quite a while and have managed to get a couple of £15 vouchers out of them, the latest one is for Amazon which I haven't used yet. They do take ages to come though. Like other posters I do get screened out of a lot of them, there are the odd few I get to complete. Also I get so many survey request emails, I don't always get time to do them before the closing date.
I am also a member of Ipsos, I have just got a £10 voucher for Argos from them. I also use Pinecone, I try to complete those surveys as they come in because you get paid per survey (I have luncheon vouchers).Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £29,419.760 -
Hi
This is a site that I used to recommend, I didn't go on for a while and after totalling about £50 in vouchers, I was deducted points because I was inactive so I lost most but back on there now. They've got loads of surveys which is great, and they're usually quick so stick with it, the rewards are better than some and I think you can refer people to help add points (you used to be able to do this but haven't checked it out lately )You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt

some of the surveys they wont let you complete
you press submit and its not happy with your answers, not quite understanding this website

bluebeary - it's the same as any other survey site, you won't necessarily be allowed to complete every survey they invite you to. Either you'll screen out after the first few questions because they're looking for a different sort of person, or you'll pass the screening questions and be allowed to complete it. If you complete a survey you'll eventually get the points awarded to your account (but that can take weeks). You should always keep the email invites for the surveys you do complete, so you can check them against your statement to make sure the points are awarded (and email them if you've not had anything after a while). You can also answer the sponsored polls by logging into the website, they're only a few points but you get loads of them so it really adds up (I seem to get about 1000 points a day - that's a £15 voucher every 80 days, so when you take into account the surveys it's much faster!) Don't bother doing the surveys linked to the sponsored polls - you have no proof you were invited to them and can't chase them up properly, they're almost never awarded from what I've heard. Not sure what you mean by they keep changing what you have and haven't done?0

hi thrifty manc
the interest surveys on the front page, you get 300 points and they keep changing them so you never get your one time 2000 point bonus
also sometimes when you completing them they jump back up to certain questions and no matter what you put its incorrect0
