Clinique gentle light make up being discontinued?

I have just heard this may be being discontinued again after it being taken off the shelves a couple of years ago and being brought back due to high demand. Anyone know if its true?

  • Hi, its still in the stores, I just read it on a website somewhere but they did bring it back before after huge demand so I can't see them discontinuing it again. Do you like it too?

i wont use anything else! used it for about 7 years! its amazing.
i have emailed them from the clinique website so just awaiting a response otherwise its stocking up time!
  • I do agree, let me know what they say will you, thanks a lot :)
  • Hi, not so good news I'm afraid. I asked at the Clinique counter in our Boots today about this and the assistant feels it may be discontinued because its a slow seller and they are not being sent new stock of it. I asked which foundation is similar as a replacement and she said the Supermoisture. I might just go back to No7 tinted moisturiser as that never seems to get discontinued and it is good.

Just found this out yesterday when i went to buy more Gentle Light Foundation:eek: GRRRRR. They did this a few years ago too, i have never found another foundation i like as much:( Bought the supermoisture yesterday, not tried it yet.

Apparently it was discontinued as it is a slow seller in America, lady at the counter said they prefer a more matte look in the states.

I've tried loads of alternatives and can't find one i like. Really hoping i like the supermoisture as this could turn into an expensive hunt!

I find Photoready ok, but not great. I also have Estee Lauder doublewear light and it is ok, not my first choice. Will see what the supermoisture one is like, then will have a look at Bobbi Brown.

Lady on the Clinique counter yesterday suggested mixing your foundation with illuminator to get the look of the gentle light foundation.
