today needs to be productive as I have tonnes to do.
OH is changing headlight on car as we speak, and the WM is whirring away downstairs. Want to try and get two loads in. It is artic here, so will get the radiator airers out and take advantage of the fact that the heating will be on anyway to try and dry it all a bit quicker. Downside is that there will be lots of ironing to do
Caught up with lots of diaries last night, still a few more to go so will use that as my treat when I've lost the will to live with report writing.
Reports to write :90

In MSE news....
*cashed out another £5 Amazon voucher on Swagbucks, so that's £15 towards Christmas already.
*used O2 priority moments code to claim free can of de-icer and scraper from Halfords.
* Up to £76.69 /£160 on the January grocery challenge, with only 1 week of shopping to buy from the remaining budget. Bought UHT milk and extra bread for the freezer in the hope of getting snow this week
*went to place Approved Food order, but when looking through my basket realised we didn't really need the bits as we have plenty in that needs to be used up first... saved about £30 quid
Managed a big chunk of school work yesterday. Need to tackle the reports this afternoon and then I should be back onto a more even keel (however temporarily). Off to make a cuppa before I settle down to work.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Sadly PP the reports rumble on. Am knacked so going to read a chapter of my book in a hot bath, hit the hay and the get up early to do some work before school. I'm much more productive when I'm fresh so it doesn't make sense for me to burn the midnight oil.
Tea with the in-laws tonight. Completely stuffedOH has made bacon and mushroom tagliatelle for tea tomorrow. And probably the night after that, and maybe even the night after that...not sure how many people he was expecting to feed!

snow day for us today, not so much on account of the snow on the ground but the dodgy roads. We're a semi rural school and over 90% if our kids are bused in. If we could get them in, it is uncertain as to whether we'd be able to get them home again. So I'm working from home. Copious cups of tea, daytime TV and a mountain of marking to leisurely climb. This is the life :cool:know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

my little corner of Wales is still frozen solid, so I'm beavering away in the office.
Two quick phone calls have resulted in us being £10 better off a month. Have signed up to a new 12 month broadband contract with o2 with has halved our monthly bill for the 12 months. I've also phoned BT to take out line rental saver. By paying upfront for a year's line rental, we will pay the equivalent of £10.75 a month instead of over £15. We still get our free weekend calls, but now only need to made 2 inclusive calls a month instead of 10 to avoid extra charges.
Spoke to OH about the wills and agreed on what we would want to happen to our assets in the event of one or both of us shuffling off of this mortal coil. Emailed solicitors who did our conveyancing (they also do wills) with some basic details in order to obtain a ball park figure. Plan B is to contact NASUWT, my teaching union, who offer free wills to members. (I had no idea until I read Martin's will article on the main site :money: )Need to find out if this will cover us for a joint will.
working my way through the filing cab to sort out old paper and finish off my worst case scenario financial doc as I go.
