Sky+ Remote control

Hi I could do with some help and hope some of you kind folks can help. The Sky+ remote control seems to be slowly losing functionality when in the TV guide.
Firstly the channel search by typing the number of the channel started only inserting a number into the first position and now the information on each programme when in mini TV mode is no longer displays.

Any ideas?

Try changing the batteries, also does this happen more in the evening when you have compact fluorescent lamps on?

Is the remote old?

Sorry not responded quicker, busy helping my mother with her computer problems.:D

I have changed the batteries and no improvement, apparently loss of information started early this afternoon before the lights went on. The remote is about a year old when we went HD.

Try putting the Sky+HD into standby then switch it off at the wall, leave it off for 5 minutes then switch it back on at the wall, wait a couple of minutes for the EPG to load then bring it out of standby.

Its an old trick but it just might work.

Check the inner mainboard for condensation under the rubber contacts if the buttons don't press right anymore

Just an update for anyone with a similar problem. Another website suggested using the Interactive button and starting Sky Active, as sometimes this drops out and causes problems. Did this and the functionality returned
