Will my Portable Radio pick up any programmes in Atlanta?

I will be staying in Atlanta and wondered if my radio would be any use there.0

what frequency bands does it receive?0

If it has MW and FM yes it will pick up Atlanta's local stations.0

If your radio has VHF or medium wave bands then yes you will get lots of stations.0

fm and internet will work fine but the A.M.(medium wave) band could be a problem as their channels are in multiples of 10 khz whereas Europe is 9Khz.
For example in the U.K. Virgin is on 1215. 1206,1224 are the adjacent channels,in Africa,Europe and Asia.
But in North and South America the sequence is 1210,1220,1230 etc
This would only be an issue if the radio tunes like most modern car radios do today. Hope that helpsnever put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0
