Car Insurance!

Does anybody else HATE shopping for car insurance? Putting your details in over and over and over again, drives me insane!

Is there anything I can "cheat" on when filling in the details that will reduce the cost? Obviously nothing that will make my insurance void...

Everytime I get a renewal quote, its higher than the previous years, does anybody know why this is? Confused.com!

Owned by Admiral car insurance.... You need to check around a lot more, infact most of the comparison sites are now owned or sponsored by an insurer.

That's what I thought. When I went onto individual sites, the layout was the same in alot of them. I've tried everyone going...

Is it worth waiting until the last few days before the one I have runs out or will they just keep rising???
  • Go to a broker who has an office/shop. They'll take all your details while you say them. No typing yourself! :p

And they get a cut on top of the cut the internet site gets?

    Great!

Have you not tried using martins method as described under insurance. You might have to enter your details four or five times tops, but you'll cover 98% of the companies out there?

Theres much more to this site that just the forums! ;)

When filling in forms just slap the keyboard about.

The details needed are things like Postcode, NCD, Car make model, age

Things they DO NOT need are Name, Address (apart from postcode), phone number, email address

If you like the quote, go back and do it again properly.

I used Tescos comparison site.To opt out of all the spam/phone calls/junk I had to open a new window and supply(from memory) my full name, date of birth and email address twice!.Why?.

So that they can sell your details on.

I avoid all of the comparison sites, at the end of the day, they actually increase premiums, they get a huge cut from the insurance companies.
