where to get coffee grounds in SE London

Does anyone know of any starbucks in the Southwark/Bermondsey/Lewisham ares that give away used coffee grounds.

Tried a couple over in the city and in Liverpool st station and they all look at me as if I am mad.

Mind you in my family we are all mad.;)

Ha ha you just reminded me...I used to work in a restaurant and every now and then I would take home a catering tub of used coffee grounds for my compost heap. After several months of doing this I was stopped on departure one night and politely searched...they had been watching me on security cameras....The manager was purple with embarassment when he saw what I was 'stealing'.
Sorry that is not an answer, I think you would have to go in during a quiet time and chat to manager or supervisor. Also you would need to collect at particular times cos they wont want to hold on to it for you.

We welcome your interest in our 'Grounds for your Garden' scheme. Using coffee grounds in compost is proving increasingly popular and to encourage this practice, our waste coffee grounds are now available to gardeners.

Please let me know which station store you are referring to so that I contact them about this. Your local store should already offer pre-packed waste coffee grounds unless there some problem logistically. I look forward to your reply.
