head or heart?

Okay Hubby and I are stuck. One house we both fell in love with, spacious nicely, decorated, large graden etc etc. however there is a large travellers site under a mile away should we be concerned?

the other house ticked all the practical boxes, schools shops cinema drive garage. it would be a good starter home and i think we could get this one for a lower price?

do you go with your heart or your head when buying??

  • I would avoid buying next to a travellers site personally. There is a house in the area we want to move thats twice the size of most in the area, nice interior and in a great countryside location but I won't even condsider it due to the travellers site next door. It ha sbeen on the market for year with two reductions. Real shame but I really feel you might regret this one.

If you dont love the other one then why not just hang on for a bit?
  • I looked at a house around here which was near a travellers site. With a bit of digging found it had been on the market for about 3 years and therefore practically unsellable because of the site.
  • this particular house has fallen through a couple of times not sure how long it has been on the market for?
  • I'd go with the head on this one or look for another house to fall in love with.

I'd always go with my heart - BUT I agree, avoid this one as it'll be harder to sell in the future (presuming it's a fixed or regular site). I'd not buy it and am sure it'd put others off.

Personally, it would definitely put me off then. If you intend to be carried out of there in a box, maybe fine. If not, I'd think very careful about resale. It might be nigh on impossible, or you might have to take a huge drop to get rid.

Hard when the house is nice, but maybe they've made it as nice as they possibly can to sell it as they or nearby residents have had problems selling.

  • if you are questioning it, someone vaguely interested in your house will not even consider your home. Apart from having your driveway tarmac'd regularly, there are little benefits.
  • to demonstrate, in gendon underwood there is a large prison, subsequently people cannot sell fr love nor money

“there is a large travellers site under a mile away should we be concerned?”

That’s a question arising, can you answer that yourself? Have you done some research about this subject? There’s a lot of material on the net and in books and newspapers and, apart from some propaganda emanating from the people themselves and their followers the tone is universal, all down history for hundreds of years and in nearly every country on the planet. The American material is particularly interesting, as is the medieval German and French writing about the subject. And there’s a lot of material about what’s happening right now in England, Ireland and Europe. So you can evaluate this material and either accept it as likely to be accurate or you can decide, as some people do, that it’s all lies and genocidal racism. The decision is yours.
