They already mentioned both their names were on the paper form received this autumn, so any further problem with it would only surface in the CRA records...Enjoy the silence...0 -
You can always ring your supplier and add your partner to the bill and request paper bill (they could charge you one-off for it but it'd be cheaper than £8p/m for HSBC account).eastberks44 wrote: »Those that are on the list (mainly utility bills) are hard to get when you have taken advantage of every supplier's offer of cheaper paperless billing.
Or go for HSBC passport account - you need to be with them for 12 months then you can close the account.
After 3 months you will have 3 statements and you can open standard account elsewhere.
There are also companies which open bank account for you for fee (was £30 a few years back).
You can also check BT route - install the line and you will get statement in 3 months time. You will be bound by 12 or 18 months contract, but if you need a landline anyway then it shouldn't be a problem.0 -
It is still worth to check as the format of the address could be wrong as was mentioned before. They already mentioned both their names were on the paper form received this autumn, so any further problem with it would only surface in the CRA records...
I once lived in a house which has 2 addresses - it has a number and street (as 123 Road Street) but it is also registered under the house name (as House Court Road Street) and both addresses have different postcodes (one is 4HA and the other is 4HF) and for instance HSBC does not recognise one of them at all.0 -
Go with LTSB, you only need one piece of EU photo ID, no need seperate proof of address. I think Barclays do as well.0
