Hi,
I wonder if anyone can advise me on this.....
We have a pair of B&Q touch operated bedside lights. They keep coming on by themselves
This morning I went back into the bedroom to find them both on the lowest setting (there are 3 settings). I definitely didn't use them this morning and my cat isn't allowed in the bedroom so he couldn't do it, besides the door was shut.
They both plug into the same socket, but DH's goes directly into the socket whilst mine runs off an extension lead along with the bedside clock, which seems fine.
They don't come on when you switch the power off and on at the socket, so does anyone else have any ideas about what might cause this?
Thanks

Could it be a large moth, fly or other insect? It's the season for big nasty creepy-crawlies...."I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0

Mine come on quite a bit as well..A few months back for several evenings in a row when I went upstairs for bed my light, or sometimes both were on the second setting and i assumed my OH had put them on, but he hadn't. Sometimes when I am in the room and they are on they will go to the next setting, and twice now they have gone on to the highest setting actually in the middle of the night and scared me half to death!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for your replies.
I don't believe its insects as it's always both lights on the same setting, and I'm hoping they are not that clever yet!!!!
soolin, at least I'm not the only one then, I was getting a bit spooked by them being on in the day, it's really gonna spook me if they come on during the night!!!!!Nil Illegitimi desperandum carborundum
