    I think its £1 = €1.78 now !

Even at that price, 6x iceland special cornettos are pretty cheap for the children.
  • Rates in BFG and BFC due to drop in December. Ny the way the rates are now on Armynet under allowances when you check your payslip on the right hand side.
  • Samm,

I would not worry too much at the minute.

I think the first LOA reduction has been factored into the fact that the FFR went from 1.10 to 1.20 for the euro zones. I also think that the LOA reduction has been put into 2 stages to reduce the blow instead of taking 1x large LOA cut.

Looking at Sky news today, i noticed that the Euro fell to 1.17, which made me slightly happy as we receive 1.20 from the MOD. Go back a few months, and i was getting 1.10 from the MOD, but 1.18 from my uk bank, though the cash point. About time the tables were turned.

Though, if the Euro falls again back down to 1.10~1.12 then be sure that the FFR will drop, and the LOA amounts will rise again, otherwise i can imagine alot of people withdrawing cash abroad, and cashing it back into £ in the Uk to make some extra profit, its been seen before and im sure we will see it again...
