This is a bit out of date now but I have just bought a load of brilliant little presents for my daughters party bags at www.ecotopia.co.uk and I think it is relevant now as they would make perfect stocking presents.
They have these little Grow Your Own kits and you can get Sunflowers, christmas trees and venus fly traps, they also have seed sticks that you place straight in soil. I also got some gorgeous spinning tops made from sustainable wood and little bug viewers. All of them really reasonably priced!
It is definitely worth a look as they have tons of great eco friendly stuff perfect for presents.0 -

We have a book called Birthday Party by Tracey Benton which is basically a guide to hosting ethical and inexpensive childrens birthday parties. It covers everything from presents, food, games and party bags.
Just had a look again and there are a few suggestions for making party bags
1. cut the bottom off a plastic bottle (colourful), cut some holes either side at the top and run a ribbon or some piping through for a handle
2. brown paper bags decorated with paints, glitter, tissue, ribbons
3. Cut a circle in some cardboard using a dinner plate as the mould. Fold in half and cut along the fold. Decorate the outer side and fasten into a cone shape using staples or sticky tape!
Present ideas to go into the bags are pots and seeds, Air dry clay (buy a big block in art shop and chop into smaller pieces - good for encouraging creative side), Homemade popcorn or biscuits and colouring pencils/crayons!
Its a very good book, well recommended, the recipes for party food are great.0 -
Hi, what about bath bombs from somewhere like The Body Shop? They are 100% natural.
Not strictly true - Body Shop use Sodium Laureth Sulfate (amongst other things) which is not natural and not always nice - if there are any kids with eczema or other skin complaints, SLS will aggravate it. Try some of the companys listed on Janey Lee Graces site: http://www.imperfectlynatural.co.uk/modules.php?name=Web_Links&l_op=viewlink&cid=13
Lots of natural toy, bath & food options.
Hope this helps.0 -
