This year, (Xmas and NY) I created aka reminding them of last year :rotfl: so managed to secure Xmas & NY off :j plus the days inbetween :D, but this year, we have so many staff now, we couldn't all get to work a public holiday, what a shame :D :rotfl:
However short lived when next years rota came out, and I'm on for NY :( Still, plenty of time to work on that one ;) I know someone is already looking for a swop for Easter, that's presuming of course I will still be working a 5 day week by then. :)

As for freezers, I have a self defrosting one (attached to my fridge) - which is great, but also an older one, which is not.

    Just lost a big post.

It basically summarised our over-payment goals for 2019. Have initially set it at £1000 (we already have some Op's built into our budget) but may stretch to £1500 as this should knock around 3 months off the mortgage, If we do this each year our end date would be March 2026 which isn't very far away at all. It is important to us that we still 'live' on this journey and don't see the point in being mortgage free whilst the children are still teenagers with an empty memory bank. We are enjoying two holidays abroad each year at the moment and want to make the most of it whilst we still get free child places and term time holidays.

We are off out to a friends this evening with the children. I am not drinking at all so will be feeling super fresh tomorrow. Plan is for food and games so should be a lot of fun. I'm already looking to a relaxing start to 2019 with a relaxing day tomorrow (after I have done my 15k steps). I'm more than ready to get back to stepping and tracking as I really lost my mojo towards the end of this year. It started when I had a virus that lasted for 3 weeks in November, but then after that it was simply down to lack of dedication. I know stepping and tracking works and I will look and feel fabulous. Have kept up with the gym at least once a week but need to make it a habit to get there 3 times a week as I enjoy it so much when I'm there. Who knew lifting weights could be so good for your emotional wellbeing.

Wishing you all a peaceful end to 2018.

I too was a non drinker and the designated driver. Are you feeling fresh? I got to bed at 4.20am, and typically first up at 8.00am. I expect/hope to crash and burn this afternoon!

Thanks gg and ng, hope 2019 starting positively for you.

I was tired when I first woke as had late night and I don't bounce out of bed in the morning! Felt great during the day though and made a huge effort with my nutrition which meant I felt well throughout the day. Had such a good evening, alcohol really wasn't necessary.

Current account has taken a bit of a hit today. Gym membership and professional subscriptions have left the account leaving it looking far from generous! However, 50p earned on tcb and 25 points on y0ugov. Waiting for my y0ugov payout to land in the account so can kickstart 2019 overpayments.

Did a rough SOA last night once everyone else in bed. Plenty of wiggle room room for more overpayments as long as we can put the theory into practice.

Starting to flag now, no caffeine since 3:30pm, intentional but herbal teas aren't having quite the same effect. I've been drinking far too much coffee though after previously being caffeine free so it was definitely ttime to tackle it.

Eaten well today, hit calories and macros and done 13k steps. If I can muster up some energy I'll do another 2k whilst watching tv.

What a week. Current account continues to be depleted from NYE spends and current account fee. Then yesterday I discovered I had a completely flat tyre beyond repair (aa call out and £50 on a new tyre). Dh took the children trampolining today as we had a voucher but still cost £12 for the other child. Dh has done a top up food shop and I have a mountain of receipts to work through. Once I've worked out our spends I can shuffle relevant funds.

Came home from work and our guest has now moved into her lovely new home so I took advantage of Dh and the children being out and set to work.
Unit and computer (and desk) moved from family area to snug, floor swept, ike@ storage unit and boxes moved from a bedroom to family area, unit moved from spare room to dd new bedroom and all her board games put neatly in the of her wardrobe.

We have 3 bedrooms to switch around tomorrow so wanted to get a head start. Have mountains of washing to do and need to find ds bedding now he's going back in a double bed. Have a feeling the washing machine and tumble drier will be on for much of the day!

Am going to the gym first thing in the morning, will sort bedrooms and then sort finances.

Still working on our 2019 goals and still haven't made a Tilly tidy this year!

Going to the gym first thing is so important - otherwise it gets shifted further and further back in the day, possibly not getting done. That's the apple voice of experience speaking!

Evening all, a late post for me but I napped earlier so managing a later night. Just finished watching Luther, it was soooo good! Watched 2.5 episodes this evening and it was definitely worth binge watching.

Apple, I completely agree. Managed to get to the gym for 10am with dd, it was busy but nice to see lots of families there. Did a quick treadmill warm up and then 35 minutes of weights, not sure if this caused the need to nap?

Also had a busy day at home and swapped round three bedrooms. Still have the clothes to do tomorrow but as we now have an extra wardrobe I'm hoping it will be pretty straightforward. Ds seems to be down to one pair of school trousers that fit so unless
I find some more tomorrow we'll have to get some before Tuesday. Bedrooms are looking great and both children are happy, dh and I are finally in the extension!

£4.94 overpayment made up of Tilly tidy, account rewards x2 and surplus pennies from car payment. Main account looking dire but plenty in everyday spends. Have money shuffled and paid off credit card spends. Also did a survey on y0ugov for 150 points - still waiting for payout which I can then overpay.

Am still working out overpayment goals for MFiT thread, want it to be a challenge but not out of reach. More scribbling and calculations are needed.

So tomorrow's plan is gym, sort out clothes, food shop and family time. Today was pretty simple but we've all had a wonderful day. Children are back to school next week but it really feels like they've been off forever as Christmas seems so long ago. They reminds me, I really must take my tree down tomorrow, it's usually down by the 27th!
