We had to buy a new mower a couple of weeks ago :(Sounds like a good use of time in the garden - hopefully lots of lovely herbs for cooking :)

Had my first week at work on new hours. I have tweaked them slightly and start half hour earlier to finish earlier. The difference is huge, came home and ate dinner with family, played tennis and football in the garden, did some reading with dd and went for a run as soon as they were in bed at 6:35!

Who knew 30 mins made that much difference. I got home at 5pm instead of 5:45 ish as could leave on time, miss some traffic etc.

Best decision I have made and is worth leaving the house at 7:30! We are up at 6am or earlier so I get plenty of time with them before school too :rotfl:

    58p Tilly tidy made.

Noticed some suspicious water marks in kitchen and when investigating in bathroom the floor behind the waste pipe looks wet and tiles are lifting

Time to call in a plumber I think! Just when I decided to spend no more money on the house!

Leak investigated by me as DH kept forgetting? I can't tell if it's from the soil pipe or pipes from the bath which are boxed in. Have lifted tiles and put a towel down for now! This is where my expertise ends :D

Problem is, my mentality usually makes the decision it would make sense to have a new bathroom! Am still torn about moving. I really want a new build.

CB hit the account and it was £1.50 more than usual so have paid off cc. At end of day had another 50p floating around so sent that as a Tilly tidy too. Have £100 to last until next Friday which should be a breeze! Just haven't allocated it to anything whilst we get used to new pay frequency.

Challenging day at work made manageable by having an amazing team!

TCB payment landed so 32p Tilly tidy made. So tempted to pay some of the balance off cc as day to day we don't tend to spend anything so the money is just sitting there. :D

Payday for me tomorrow so can get my money shuffling fix there especially as it will include an incremental rise. Not gong to expect a cost of living rise, that would be far too hopeful! That said, wage should be better than last month and of course the difference will be OP'd and not spent. :D

    What a busy few days!

Don't have payslip but wage appears to be about £50 extra this month so I paid that straight off a cc. :j
I have been tracking our interest free cc on a snowball site and this months payment knocked 2 months off the end date which is fab! It is really motivating to be able to track it on there. Have also hit our target for the month, WIOTW will be sub 108k! :D

So far this morning have paid n3xt bill, water bill and worked out cc balances. Have also roughly worked out childcare costs and paid off the cc ready. I am literally counting down the months until those costs drastically reduce, talk about wishing your life away!

Treated myself to some new running trainers as my cheap ones are destroying my feet. Paid a small fortune for next day delivery (on thursday!) so hoping they arrive today so I can go for a run later. Have used spends in joint account so hoping if i get money for an upcoming birthday I can replace! I also had lunch out this week so feel like I have spent a lot of money on myself.

Plumber hopefully calling today to investigate the leaks. My crazy mind thinks now is the time to extend the house and upgrade the bathroom! Might just hope the £100 I have budgeted will cover the repairs!

A house on our road has come on the market for 20k more than we had our valued last year. It has a single storey extension at the rear but we have a side extension, garage conversion and more modern interior. If we could get that price for our house I would definitely move!

Ah what a day. Got a fair bit done in the house as no day out planned. Washed ground floor outside windows amd doors at the front of the house this morning and between us DH and I pottered in the house tidying. Took another bag of clothes, curtains etc to charity shop. We need to be incredibly ruthless in the playroom but not feeling brave enough for that yet. :D

Feeling quite frazzled if I am honest as struggling with dd (she's 6) behaviour. I am aware of positive parenting and parent her this way but she is incredibly challenging and defiant. Google told me its normal, surely not? She is a model student at school but quite out of control at times at home.

Any thoughts, solutions, offers of wine?

    Have a drink.

My Dd2 is 7 and very similar.

Mum (exHV and sage!) Would say "its her age".

Honestly if she was an angel, that would be more worrying. At least you know she is intelligent.

    Love from

I don't think wine is going to cut it you two . Unless you can up the intake a bit beer-bong-smiley-emoticon.gif.

It will pass. To be replaced with 'muuuuuuummmmmmy....... when you come to see me can you bring your drill/saw/other random tools' :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hoping for a day of 'good listening' today! Swimming lessons shortly which may wear them out temporarily. I do fancy watching a bt of the marathon later, dd quite interested in athletics so hoping she will join me. (on the tv, I made it sound like we were going in person!)

DH popped out for wine and top up shop yesterday and spent just under £15. That leaves us £33 until payday on Friday which doesn't sound much but in reality we shouldn't need to spend anything. Think I might draw out £20 and save the rest. Will top up school lunch account if I'm still as flush midweek! :D

Also need to pay some money off cc I transferred from paying water bill. Nice way to get some extra clubc@rd points. was hoping to speak to an advisor as bill 50% higher this quarter and I can't work out why. Sewerage rates seem higher but our drains haven't blocked for a while so maybe I am being charged a premium!

Was hoping to shred or run again today but have an aching muscle in my leg. Might see if I can tempt DM to go for a swim and use one of my free passes.

Have a good Sunday everyone :)
