ESA (C) & Child Maintenance Payments - Anyone?

Hi
I've been given conflicting info & was hoping that someone on here may be able to help.
I've been claiming ESA(C) since 5/10 & am in the WRAG after the medical. I had my letter explaining how much I'd get etc, but it also mentioned that if I received child maintenance it could affect my benefit. This was the first I'd heard of it as it wasn't mentioned when I made my claim, or in any booklets I had received about ESA.
So I rang them - first lady said it would definitely affect my benefit, but couldn't tell me by how much as the system was down! So I rang back today & a chap told me it wouldn't affect my benefit & not to worry about it.
CAB told me that only pension income could affect ESA (C) not child maintenance, according to the current Disability Rights Handbook.
The maintenance I get is for my children only, I don't get anything for me, & I get CB & CTC too, but no other benefits.
Should I be worried as I don't want to claim anything I'm not entitled to? I'm partially sighted & it's a joke trying to get info in large print, so I'm scared I may have missed something as I have to rely on others to read my post. Thanks.

And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...

Child maintenance payments are fully disregarded for both ESA(C) and ESA(C+IR) so you have nothing to worry about.
