I'm really confused!!! Last year I sent all my household bills, evidence of my husbands income and all of our out goings to student finance and I was awarded parental learning allowance for my first year. Now I'm due to start my second year and they have refused saying I am not entitled, following this I have now recieved a letter asking to send all the details of our income and outgoings again as they may have overpaid me based upon the information they asked for last year.
Are they allowed to this and if so how will they take it back.

OMG what a mess! The thing with Student Finance is, you wont get anywhere when u call them. They will not tell you the maximum you can earn to be eligible. If they overpaid you, then u will have to pay that back. The question is. Did they really overpaid u? What is ur husband income and what do u pay 4 rent etc.? If its really low then they might have a done a mistake. Have u been awarded child care grant this year?0
