Spray to get rid of spiders?

  • chrisandmark thank you for that! I was worried what the effect would be!! I have no humanity for spiders either (sorry if that offends anyone), so I will continue to use my slightly smaller size 4s that steveymp recommends.

Does your plug in make a clicking noise? My mouse deterrent ones do - I have them downstairs so it doesn't bother me too much - but I'd like one for my bedroom. I bought special spider ones online a couple of years ago but they were so loud I had to send them back!

    Hiya

The one I've got made a clicking noise when it was plugged in downstairs but since moving it upstairs it just kind of makes a low chirping noise like birds.

It works by sending pulses through the electrical wiring as well as a sound emitter thingy so you wouldn't need it to be right in your bedroom. I've got mine on the landing (3 bed house) and it keeps them out of all the bedrooms as well as downstairs.

If you type Advanced Spider Repeller Deterrent into Amazon you'll get the full details - reviews on there are mixed but I can honestly say it works brilliant for me. (Would have posted a link but not sure if that's allowed on here!).

    Hope that helps.

  • Just looked it up and there are a load of spider deterrent things you can buy on Amazon! Will spend the weekend researching and deciding what all to get. Will definitely try the plug in. Thanks!
  • Nowt wrong with a shoe or a glass, imo. It's not as if they can evade capture too easily.

Flies, on the other hand, do my head in and are frutrating to catch. We have put sunflower stickers on walls and have found that to be the best option in that regard...

Leave the harmless Spiders alone, they will catch the flies
